AARHUS CONVENTION ON ACCESS TO INFORMATION, PUBLIC PARTICIPATION IN DECISION-MAKING AND ACCESS TO JUSTICE IN ENVIRONMENTAL MATTERS

The Aarhus Convention in Tajikistan is implemented through the Aarhus Centers in different regions of the country. This year, the project "Environmental Policy and Legislation" has been implemented through the Aarhus Centers. In this regard, each Center has carried out its activity in accordance with the approved plan.

The Aarhus Center of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is known by the name of the Dushanbe Aarhus Center, has established its activity to implement the principles of the Aarhus Convention on access to environmental information, public participation in decision-making and access to justice.

The materials about the activity of the Aarhus Center of the Committee are also published on the pages of the publication "Human and Nature", as well as on the sites www.tajnature.tj, www.environment.tj and www.aarhus.tj. The page of the Aarhus Centers in Tajikistan has been opened on the Facebook social network since October and is currently active.
