Participation in the 27th Session on Environmental Monitoring and Assessment                 

                                          

The 27th Session on Environmental Monitoring and Assessment for the member states of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), held on April 10–11, 2025, in Geneva, Switzerland, was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Isfandiyor Shukurzoda, who also delivered a speech.

Within the framework of this session, Mr. Shukurzoda held a meeting with the head of the group and responsible parties for the Fourth Environmental Performance Review of Tajikistan to discuss the development of a Roadmap, its translation and publication, as well as the organization of a roundtable with stakeholders.

It is worth noting that Tajikistan is the first among the 56 member states of the UNECE to adopt the Fourth Environmental Performance Review. The event addressed changes in the environmental monitoring system, strengthening of environmental policy, and the exchange and integration of economic, social, and environmental data.
