Review of the Environmental Education Program at the Control Working Meeting                 

                                          

Today, a control working meeting was held in the new building of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ziyozoda Sulaimon Rizoi, to discuss the implementation of the "State Comprehensive Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Awareness of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021–2025." The meeting was attended by representatives of government agencies and members of the interdepartmental commission on environmental education.

During the discussion, it was emphasized that environmental protection and raising public awareness of ecological issues are priority areas of state policy. The program aims to enhance the environmental culture of society through various educational initiatives, the improvement of educational curricula, and the expansion of cooperation with domestic institutions and international organizations.

At the meeting, reports were presented by the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sheralizoda Bahodur Ahmadjon, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as representatives of relevant ministries, agencies, executive government bodies, and other officials responsible for implementing the program.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the country instructed all relevant structures to take the necessary measures for the effective implementation of this program and to strengthen collaboration with the public and educational institutions to raise environmental awareness and education. Additionally, it was proposed to promote environmental education among various segments of society using modern technologies and mass media.

After reviewing the reports and conducting a comprehensive discussion of the relevant issues, decisions were made to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the program, with the results of its implementation for the current year to be summarized at a later date.
