Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Greening the Country                 

                                          

Today, in the hall of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, a ceremony was held for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee and the leadership of the "Muzaffar" Charitable Foundation. The memorandum was signed within the framework of the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to transform the country into a "green country."

In accordance with this document, the "Muzaffar" Charitable Foundation, with the assistance of the Committee, plans to plant more than 10,000 trees in one of the regions of the country as part of a charitable project.

It is worth noting that this initiative is part of the measures being taken by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to green the country, reduce emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, and turn Tajikistan into a "green country." It also represents a significant contribution of a domestic entrepreneur to the implementation of government programs and strategies in this field.

It should also be emphasized that, with the aim of improving the country's ecological situation, preventing the negative effects of climate change, and creating favorable living conditions for the population, the "State Program for Greening the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2040" was adopted Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan dated June 29, 2024, №374, within which more than 2 billion trees are planned to be planted. The first phase of the program is already underway throughout the country, and its effective implementation is under the supervision of the Committee.
