Meeting of the CEP Chairman with the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE)               

                                          

On January 23, 2025, in Geneva, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Bahodur Sheralizoda and the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Ms. Tatyana Molchan.

First of all, the Chairman of the Committee noted the global initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H. E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon in the field of water and climate, and the parties also discussed preparations for the international conference on glacier conservation, which will be held in Dushanbe in May 2025.

The parties also exchanged views on other topical issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the UNECE in the field of ecology and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as regional issues in the field of environmental protection.
