Meeting of the Committee Chairperson with the Ambassador and Head of the OSCE Programme Office                   

                                          

On 10 January 2025, the Committee hosted a meeting between the Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sheralizoda Bakhodur Akhmadjon, and Mr. Willy Kembel, Ambassador and Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe.

The meeting discussed cooperation between the Committee and the OSCE, achievements in 2024, cooperation for 2025 between the Committee on Environmental Protection and the OSCE, including the implementation of joint projects, legal aspects of environmental and climate policy, as well as the issue of youth empowerment camps on climate change.

At the same time, the parties discussed preparations for the high-level international conference on glacier protection, which will be held in Dushanbe in May 2025, and agreed on close and mutually beneficial cooperation.

Following the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee Sheralizoda B.A., Mr. Willie Kembel, congratulated her on her appointment to a new position and wished her success in her future work.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding and all topics were discussed.
