Event dedicated to the "Human Rights Day"

                 

                                          

Every year, December 10 is celebrated as "Human Rights Day" at the international level. This date is associated with the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which originates from the first emperor in history named Cyrus the Great.

At the event held at the central office of the Committee dedicated to this date and with the participation of a representative of the Agency for State Financial Control and Fight against Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, speakers noted that on December 10, 1948, in Paris, France, the UN General Assembly proclaimed "Human Rights Day".

The speakers especially noted that in the Republic of Tajikistan, especially during the period of independence, a Constitution was adopted in which a person is recognized as the highest value, his rights and freedoms are protected by the state.

In the Republic of Tajikistan, other regulations, plans and strategies in this direction have also been developed and adopted, the institution of the Commissioner for Human Rights has been created.

The event particularly emphasized that, on the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon, in his address to the National Assembly of the country on December 28, 2023, 2024 was declared: "The Year of Legal Education".

It was said that the Committee, within the framework of the Year of Environmental Education, implemented a number of activities in accordance with the approved action plan. In particular, employee meetings were organized to improve the legal literacy of employees and users of natural resources, as well as seminars, trainings and useful meetings.
