Regional Seminar on "Synergetic Use: Integrated Land Management, Biodiversity and Climate"
On October 15-16 of this year, a regional workshop was held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan to summarize the results: “Synergetic use: integrated actions in the field of Earth, biodiversity and climate to improve monitoring and reporting on investments in sustainable reform of the agricultural and food system in Central Asia”, in which representatives of the relevant authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan, including experts and specialists of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, participated and spoke.
The objective of this regional workshop was to familiarize stakeholders with the results of research aimed at supporting national planning processes and coordinated implementation of land degradation neutrality, nationally determined contributions, financing of land degradation, ecosystem restoration and climate change adaptation activities, as well as the implementation of national biodiversity strategies and action plans for sustainable land management in the Republics of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Representatives of the Committee for Environmental Protection took an active part in the discussion of issues and expressed their opinion on the implementation of plans that will be implemented in the coming years in the region, including in the Republic of Tajikistan.
