On October 15 of this year, in the city of Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Sheralizoda Bahodur Akhmadjon and the Minister of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan Babaniyazov Charygeldi Gurbangeldievich.

During this meeting, a number of actual issues related to environmental protection were discussed, including holding the International Conference on Glacier's Preservation in 2025 in Dushanbe, strengthening cooperation in the field of preserving flora and fauna and protecting specially protected natural areas, as well as exchanging experience of employees in order to strengthen institutional development and knowledge of specialists.

The meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, and the parties were pleased to agree to continue fruitful cooperation.
