Meeting of Central Asian Ministers on progress in implementing a comprehensive school safety system in Almaty
On September 18-19 of this year, a ministerial meeting of Central Asia on progress in the implementation of a comprehensive school safety system was held in Almaty, the Republic of Kazakhstan. The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Kiyomzoda Zarafo Sufijon and a representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Committee Kiyomzoda Z. S., speaking to the participants of the meeting, noted the need to attract the attention of young people, especially schoolchildren and students, as well as to increase their awareness of environmental issues, the participation of young people in environmental events, including through the organization of environmental competitions that contribute to solving environmental problems.
At the meeting, representatives of the delegations also spoke about the current situation and prospects for developing cooperation in the field of environmental protection.
Also at the meeting, the parties discussed and agreed on a number of issues aimed at developing joint actions to address environmental issues, climate change, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, effectively manage waste, and develop cooperation in specially protected natural areas.
