Within the framework of the international mountain Eco-half marathon, which is held on the initiative of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in order to implement the "Comprehensive State Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Education of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025" in the Haftkul zone of the city of Penjikent, Sogd region, an environmental action "Cleanliness of the Shore" and a collective clean-up day were held.

Within the framework of this event, the shores of Haftkul lakes were cleaned of garbage and pollution, more than 350 athletes and employees of various departments and organisations took an active part in the event.

This measure was implemented simultaneously with the aim of realising the goals of the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028", carrying out work on improvement and creation, improving the environmental situation on the ground and raising the level of environmental awareness of the population in the coastal area "Haftkul".
