The Summer Environmental School has ended, its participants received a certificate
From August 23 to 26 of this year, training seminars were organized and held at the Yos resort in the Romit gorge of Vahdat city in order to implement the Action Plan of the “Comprehensive State Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Awareness of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025” within the framework of the environmental summer school. This event was organized by the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe.
The opening ceremony of this event, which took place on August 23 of this year in this area, was attended and spoken by the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahmonzoda Loik Sherali and the Deputy Head of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe Tatyana Turkan.
As part of the summer classes of the environmental school, trainers and leading industry experts conducted fascinating classes on the topics of the areas of activity of environmental protection bodies and the legislative framework in this area, including problems of waste, atmospheric air, flora and fauna, fish resources, waste management, protected natural areas and other current global problems related to ecology and environmental protection.
In connection with the basics of ecology and nature protection in Tajikistan, factors and consequences associated with climate change, Tajikistan's global initiatives to protect glaciers, other global initiatives related to environmental protection and ecology, the Deputy Head of the Department of State Supervision of Land Use and Protection, Common Minerals and Waste Management of the Committee Nematzoda N. spoke to the participants. Representatives of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe and the public organization "Little Earth", representatives of the State Institution "Specially Protected Natural Areas" and the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe attended the environmental school class.
The classes were conducted through presentations, modern information methods, visual aids, and in the form of exciting games. As part of the environmental school class, alternative equipment was presented, including essential items powered by solar batteries.
As a result of the classes, the participants were awarded certificates.
