Participation of the Committee and its subordinate structures in the exhibition "Festival of watermelon, melon and pumpkin" in Dushanbe                  

                                          

As part of the Action Plan "Festivals, exhibitions, holidays and competitions of folk traditions and crafts in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024" on August 25 of this year in the state institution "Park of Culture and Recreation named after Abulkasim Firdavsi" of Dushanbe on the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Executive Body of State Authority of Dushanbe the "Exhibition of watermelon, melon and pumpkin" was held.

The exhibition was attended by ministries and departments, organizations and institutions, gardeners and farmers, enterprises for the production of environmentally friendly products from cities and regions of the republic with their achievements. Along with other achievements of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the exhibition clearly demonstrated the global initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan, including the goals of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028”, the announcement of 2025 as the “International Year of Glacier Protection”, and unique materials about the nature of Tajikistan.

Participants appreciated the purpose of this event - to promote the development of agricultural products, show the methods of farmers, revive the traditions of growing different varieties of watermelons, melons, pumpkins and other domestic fruits.

Representatives of the structures of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, heads and other employees of embassies, international organizations operating in Tajikistan, foreign guests and residents of the capital, who were impressed by the achievements, took part in this event.
