ATTENTION, ANNOUNCEMENT!             

                                          

The Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in connection with the announcement of 2024 as the “Year of Environmental Education” in the city of Dushanbe, as part of the celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and the implementation of the “Comprehensive State Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Awareness of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025”, announces a city competition in the capital of our beloved Motherland - the city of Dushanbe.

The competition is held in three nominations: “Best District”, “Best Microdistrict” and “Best Institution”.

The purpose of holding this competition in the city of Dushanbe is to promote effective activities, constant support and attention of the Chairman of the city of Dushanbe, respected Rustami Emomali, to environmental protection issues, including expanding work on improvement, creation, maintaining sanitary conditions and improvement of districts, mahallas, promoting urbanization ideas, raising the level of environmental education, especially among young people and adolescents. The competition is aimed at disseminating best practices in economic management and implementing them in other cities and districts of the republic, strengthening national identity, promoting and popularizing the best national traditions.

The indicators for determining the “Best District”, “Best Microdistrict” and “Best Institution” are: the involvement of domestic entrepreneurs in carrying out improvement and construction work, clean roads, proper sanitary condition of populated areas, the presence of waste collection points, their sanitary condition, tree planting and the state of landscaping, the results of the “Cleanliness of the Area” and “Cleanliness of the Coast” campaigns, the level of propaganda work on environmental protection, the targeted use of funds for work on maintaining proper sanitary conditions of the environment, the installation of advertising posters on environmental protection, the design of canals, ditches and roads, landscaping around roads and public places.

The criteria for determining the “Best Institution” include the presence of garbage bins, the sanitary condition of the environment, landscaping, planting of flowers, flower beds, the proper condition of the facades of the buildings of the institutions, the presence of ornamental trees and seedlings, their care, and their condition.

The best district, the best microdistrict and the best institution are determined in accordance with the established procedure and are awarded with diplomas of 1, 2, 3 degrees and awards by the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
