An event “Educational and practical exchange of representatives of Green Observers -2024” was held in the Iskandarkul zone of the Aini district
In the Iskandarkul area of the Ayni district, with the participation of members of the youth movement “Green Observers” from educational institutions of 11 cities and districts of the Sughd region and 2 cities of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a three-day event “Educational and practical exchange of representatives of “Green Observers” - 2024” was held. This event was organized at the initiative of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in the Sughd region, in collaboration with the public organization “Youth Group for Environmental Protection”, the Center for Additional Education of the Regional Education Department and within the framework of the national project on water resources management implemented by the Helvetas consortium (ACTED ) with financial support from the SDC organization.
In accordance with the program, excursions to the waterfall and snake lake were organized for the participants, practical classes were held to develop the skills of setting up tents and proper behavior when hiking, and green observers took part in creating a model of the Syrdarya River basin. At the same time, members of the Green Observers movement shared their environmental knowledge on environmental issues in the intellectual game “What? Where? When?”, informational and practical sessions were also conducted by representatives of the NGO “Youth Group for Environmental Protection”.
Chief specialist of the Main Directorate of Environmental Protection in the region Saidov Kh., Director of the Center for Additional Education of the Education Department of the region Sakhibnazarov Z, representative of the Istikboli Avlod NGO Shamsiddinov O. and Director of the Tarakkiyot NGO Madalieva F. from the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of ACTED ( Tajikistan) Mirbozkhonova N. and Abdurozikova Sh. made the event even more memorable with their speeches, provision of information, useful tips and recommendations regarding representatives of the Green Observers.
This regional project was implemented within the framework of the “Second Youth Forum of the Syrdarya River Basin”, which will be held in early autumn with the participation of even more members of the Green Observers movement.
