On July 10, 2024, in the city of Bokhtar, Khatlon region, a visiting meeting of the board of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held on the results of activities for the first half of the year and the tasks for a worthy completion of 2024 with the participation of employees of the central office of the Committee, the Agency for Hydrometeorology, and the State Institution “Specially Protected” natural territories”, the Main Directorates for Environmental Protection in GBAO, regions, the city of Dushanbe, the environmental protection department in the Kulyab region, departments and sectors of environmental protection in cities and regions of the republic, the project implementation center, subordinate institutions of the Committee.

The Board of the Committee considered the issue “On the results of the Committee’s activities for the first half of the year and the tasks for a decent completion of 2024.”

First Deputy Chairman of the Committee Kiemzoda Z.S. delivered a report on the activities of environmental protection authorities in the first half of 2024.

It should be noted that in order to fulfill the instructions and instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, to maintain the cleanliness and order of the cities and districts of the Khatlon region, the Committee supplied 14 units of electric scooters for garbage collection in the cities and districts of Pyanj, Khuroson, Shakhritus, Vakhsh, Levakant, Nosiri Khusrav, Jaloliddin Balkhi, Jaykhun, Bokhtar, Vose, Hamadoni, Muminabad, Farkhor, Baljuvon.

During the discussion of the report, the Chairman of the Committee, Sheralizoda Bahodur Ahmadjon, demanded from executive officials the implementation of state strategies and programs, action plans, provision of norms and industry instructions, implementation of decisions of previous meetings of the board and gave them specific instructions and instructions to quickly eliminate existing shortcomings, strict compliance with the requirements state service for environmental protection, ensuring environmental safety and increasing the level of environmental education of the population.

On all considered issues, proposals and instructions, an appropriate decision was made at the board meeting, which is sent to all relevant structures subordinate to the Committee for execution and taking the necessary measures.
