Round table on “Updating the Nationally Determined Contribution of Tajikistan”                   

                                          

On June 20, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, at the initiative of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development in Tajikistan (USAID), a round table on “Improving the Nationally Determined Contribution of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2025” was held with the participation of representatives of the country's ministries and departments, development partners and the private sector.

The purpose of this round table is to bring together key stakeholders from among representatives of the country's ministries and departments, international organizations, and the private sector to discuss the issue of improving the nationally determined contribution of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2025.

At this event, representatives of the Committee and development partners made 3 presentations:

- Review of the Nationally Determined Contribution and its upcoming update;

- Tajikistan's First National Transparency Report (BTR);

- Strengthening the Capacity of the Republic of Tajikistan to Comply with the Transparency Framework of the Paris Agreement (СBIT).

Representatives of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the United States Agency for International Development in Tajikistan (USAID) participated. They spoke at the opening of this event.
