The first regional high-level political dialogue entitled “Creating a future with clean air in Central Asia” has started in Tashkent                  

                                          

To strengthen cooperation towards reducing air pollution, sharing knowledge, and using best practices, on June 19, 2024, a high-level regional policy dialogue was held for the first time in the city of Tashkent of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the auspices of “Framework for a Clean Air Future in Central Asia.” Representatives of environmental protection from Central Asian countries, the World Bank, the UN Environment Program, international researchers and experts, and representatives of the media took part in its work.

This event was held within the framework of 5-panel discussions, during which more than 30 experts and industry specialists made scientific presentations. It is worth noting that the head of the Department of State Control of Use and Atmospheric Air of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan took part in the first panel of the event on the topic “Program of the Day in the direction of air quality in the countries of Central Asia and recent achievements - comments from the heads of delegations.” depending on the content of the topic.
