Meeting of the working group of the Gozien Bobojon rural jamoat of the Gafurov district with members of the “Ecological Club” of the institute                

                                          

In order to strengthen the cooperation of the working group of the rural jamoat of Gozien district of B. Gafurov and members of the “Ecological Club” of the Department of Ecology of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan, a meeting on environmental safety issues was held in the hall of the institute.

For the second year, within the framework of the project “Involving stakeholders in solving problems with uranium waste in Central Asia, stage II,” a working group has been functioning to ensure cooperation and coordination of restoration work in a rural jamoat; a number of events and meetings have been held this year.

At the initiative of the Main Directorate for Environmental Protection of the Sughd Region and the public organization “Youth Group for Environmental Protection”, another meeting was held at the institute, which, on the one hand, contributed to the familiarization and cooperation of the working group of the Gozien rural jamoat with the “Ecological Club” of the mining and metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan, on the other hand, attracting students, members of the “Ecological Club” to environmental issues of the rural jamoat and region, which, in turn, helps to increase their environmental knowledge.

After the opening remarks by the rector of this institute, presentations and speeches were presented to the participants on the topics included in the meeting program.

It should be noted that holding such meetings to attract young people and the population makes a significant contribution to the process of implementing the “State Comprehensive Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Education of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025.”
