The competition - environmental quiz between the teams of the “Green Patrols” of the rural jamoat of Puloton in the city of Kanibadam                

                                          

In the educational institution No. 24 of the rural jamoat of Puloton in Kanibadam, an environmental quiz competition was held between the teams of "Green Patrols" from 6 educational institutions.

It should be noted that in May of this year such an event took place, but on the initiative of the students and teachers themselves, new teams were created, they performed in the competition in 3 categories - "Presentation", "Video" and "Quiz".

In order to implement the action plan of the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028", a quiz was held on the topic of "Green energy" and economical use of electricity. The performance of the teams was evaluated by the jury members – representatives of the Main Department of Environmental Protection, the Center for Additional Education of the region, the Regional newspaper Sogdiyskaya Pravda and the city Department of Education.

As a result, the Sarfakor team of OOU No. 20 took 1st place, the Furuzon team of OOU No. 24 took 2nd place, and the Kuvvai Bark team of OOU No. 46 took 3rd place and received certificates and gifts. The remaining teams of Energia OOU No. 17, NOB Kairokkum OOU No. 21 and Oftob OOU No. 37 were awarded certificates for active participation.

In addition, the teams that took the first three places were presented with the Red Book of the Republic of Tajikistan by a representative of the Main Department of Environmental Protection of the region, as the head of the jury.

It should be noted that such events are necessary to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Environmental education of the population" and the practical implementation of the points of the action plan "State comprehensive program for the development of environmental education and education of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025". In order to increase the environmental knowledge of students of general education institutions and more actively involve them in environmental activities, specialists of the head Department of Environmental Protection will continue fruitful cooperation with the Public Organization "Youth Group for Environmental Protection"/Aarhus Center in the city of Khujand.
