Hosting the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28)             


                                          


The 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 30 to December 12, 2023.

In accordance with the approved provisions, the Conference of the Parties to this Convention is held once a year with the participation of heads of state and a wide range of representatives of member countries, heads of international, and regional organizations, civil society, and other stakeholders.

It is worth noting that the Republic of Tajikistan ratified the UN Convention on Climate Change in 1998 and the Paris Agreement in 2017.

Also, within the framework of this conference, peripheral events and meetings, pavilions will be organized to present the policy pursued by the member countries towards the implementation of commitments to the Convention.

It is planned that the National Pavilion of the Republic of Tajikistan within the framework of the conference will work from November 30 to December 12 in Dubai in order to familiarize and present global initiatives of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Honorable Emomali Rahmon on climate change, protection of glaciers and water resources, attracting the attention of the world community to the high vulnerability of the republic to the effects of climate change, the need for more investments to adapt key sectors of the country's economy to climate change, and the need for the country's economy to adapt to climate change.
