Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to the citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan
Addressing all citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, we urge you to take an active position on environmental issues, especially at the beginning of the autumn season, including in preventing the burning of autumn leaves on the streets, squares, parks of culture and recreation of cities and districts.
The analysis of medical experts shows that when burning fallen leaves of trees and garbage, outbreaks of respiratory diseases and other ailments of people occur, because with the smoke from burning leaves and garbage, toxic substances such as smoke, carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides and hydrocarbons are released into the atmosphere, smoke from burning fallen leaves cause serious damage to the environment and human health.
The easiest way to solve this problem is to collect leaves and in suitable places and pits for composting to use it as fertilizer.
It should be emphasized that in case of non-compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of environmental protection, including leaf burning, according to the requirement of Article 231 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Tajikistan, a fine will be imposed on individuals in the amount of one to three indicators for calculations (from 68 to 204 somoni), officials - from thirty up to forty indicators for calculations (from 2040 to 2720 somoni) and for legal entities from one hundred to two hundred indicators for calculations (from 6800 to 13600 somoni).
We urge all citizens of the Republic to take an active position on compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of environmental protection, cleanliness and neatness of every street and avenue, village and microdistrict of cities and districts of our beloved Homeland.
