Competition "Protection of glaciers of Tajikistan" in Bobojon Gafurov district               

                                          

In order to promote the essence of the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028", the declaration of 2025 as the "International Year of Glacier Protection", a competition "Protection of glaciers of Tajikistan" was held in the State Specialized Educational Institution of the rural Jamoat of Histevarz district.

The competition was organized and conducted by the Department of Environmental Protection in the Bobojon Gafurov district, as well as by teachers of the Khujand State University named after Academician B. Gafurov, representatives of the Department of Education, executive authorities of the district, teachers and students in which the above-mentioned institution took part.

At the beginning of the event, students of the school presented their drawings on the nature of Tajikistan, on the impact of global climate warming on glaciers, on the protection and rational use of natural resources. The jury highly appreciated the students' knowledge and skills in ecology.

At the end of the event, the head of the Environmental protection Department in the district Nosirov S. M. awarded 30 students of the winners of the competition with diplomas and gifts.
