In preparation for the celebration of the 32nd anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Main Directorate of Environmental Protection is organizing environmental actions in Dushanbe.

On the right bank of the Dushanbe River, in the territory of the Firdavsy district, the action "Clean Coast" was held, in which employees of the shopping center "Ashan" took an active part. During the action, the territory of the shore was cleared at a distance of 135 meters, collected and transported in the amount of 3.8 m3 of solid household and plastic waste.

During the waste collection process, it was found that most of the waste is plastic waste, especially plastic bottles. In modern society, the growth of plastic waste is one of the environmental problems most affected by the negative impact on the environment.

In order to prevent plastic waste, the General Directorate of Environmental Protection in Dushanbe has installed small garbage cans in several educational institutions of the capital and has entrusted structures of education, health, social protection, In Dushanbe, universities and institutes prepare and install such small garbage cans.

This approach will allow you to collect and process more plastic materials.

In order to eliminate plastic bags and use more paper and fabric bags, the General Directorate of Environmental Protection in the city of Dushanbe decided to carry out more environmental activities together with shopping centers and other service centers of the capital, as well as more awareness-raising activities.
