Prevention of plastic waste in Bokhtar                   

                                          

As part of the implementation of the instructions of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan regarding the protection of the environment from plastic waste, sanitary boxes for collecting plastic dishes have been installed in the city of Bokhtar at the initiative of the Environmental Protection Department. Such boxes will be installed on all streets and avenues. In particular, on September 4, 2023, 12 plastic collection points were installed on various streets and avenues of Bokhtar.

The aim of this noble initiative is to ensure a clean environment, raise environmental awareness and promote a high culture of urbanism. It should be noted that in recent years, due to the increase in the production and use of plastic materials and the low ecological culture of some residents, many containers and other plastic materials appear on the streets and avenues, which reduces the appearance and attractiveness of the city.

The Department of Environmental Protection in Bokhtar city has set itself the goal of placing such urns in all streets, neighbourhoods and public places, together with other sectors of the economy, including educational institutions and cultural officials.
