Consultative seminar on "Ensuring an effective process of the National Adaptation Plan (NPA) for Tajikistan”                   

                                          

On August 29-30 of this year, the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan held a consultative seminar on “Ensuring an effective process of the National Adaptation Plan (NPA) for Tajikistan”, during which representatives of ministries and departments, as well as foreign organizations took part.

It should be noted that this seminar consists of 4 parts, during which the following topics were held:

•         Implementation of adaptation measures within the framework of the National Adaptation Plan of the Republic of Tajikistan;

•         System of monitoring and evaluation of adaptation measures in the Republic of Tajikistan (M&E);

•         Tools for finding development partners and NAP communities;

•         Practical work with adaptation/work planning tools in groups.

It should be noted that the UNDP project "Assistance to the Process of Effective Adaptation Planning (NAP) for Tajikistan", funded by the Green Climate Fund (GF), is aimed at creating organizational structures and opportunities for the development and implementation of the NAP for further comprehensive approach to the planning and implementation of adaptation in Tajikistan.
