Opening of the park named after the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Murgab district of GBAO                   

                                          

On August 14 of this year, as part of the working visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, to GBAO and in accordance with the Action Plan for preparing for a worthy meeting of the 35th anniversary of State Independence, the Republic of Tajikistan officially opened a park named after the 35th anniversary of the State independence of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Murgab district of GBAO.

This park was built by the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan for the purpose of holding cultural events, national holidays and other celebrations.

The construction of the park of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Murgab district of GBAO began in May 2023, with a total area of 2 hectares. For the purpose of recreation and entertainment of residents and tourists on the area of the park of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan on an area of 10,600 m2, landscape work was carried out, 1,700 trees were planted. On an area of 800m2, the sidewalks are decorated with slabs, high lamps are installed for lighting.

A stage, a 150 m2 football field, a 150 m2 basketball and volleyball field, a 150 m2 basketball and volleyball field were built for the events, a certain number of seats were arranged in the park, and a 1100 m2 garden was fenced.

At the same time, in order to increase the level of self-awareness of residents and information of tourists, portraits of Tajik writers, as well as paintings of cartoon characters, equipment for sports games and figures of artificial animals were installed in the park.
