Environmental activities at the recreation center "Sharora"                   

                                          

In order to raise awareness and environmental education of the population and implement the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan "On the Comprehensive State Program for the Development of environmental education and enlightenment of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025", talks and meetings were held in educational institutions and recreation centers in accordance with the joint plan of the Environmental Protection Department with the Education Department of the city of Dushanbe.

In order to promote environmental knowledge, environmental health, environmental awareness of youth and adolescents and respect for the culture of living in the city, together with the Education Department of the Ismoili Somoni district of Dushanbe, a meeting was held between employees of the Environmental Protection Department of Dushanbe with students vacationing at the Sharora recreation center.

The head of the Department of Education of the city of Dushanbe said that according to the decision of the Chairman of the City of Dushanbe, there are 4 suburban recreation centers covering 4,192 people, and “Naturalist” clubs operate in recreation centers. Moreover, environmental quizzes are constantly held under the guidance of teachers, and the attention of amateur students to current environmental problems is also attracted.

It was said that environmental education begins at home, in an educational institution, and then is formed in society. In order to increase the ecological consciousness of young people and adolescents, improve the environment, awaken love for nature in the minds of the younger generation, attract their attention to issues of development and creativity, landscaping and environmental improvement within the framework of the implementation of the "Comprehensive State Program for the Development of environmental education and enlightenment of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025" by the authorized body – the Department of Environmental Protection the environment of the city of Dushanbe, during this period 52 meetings were held in educational institutions of the capital.
