Acquaintance with the work of the disinfection shop of mercury-containing lamps in JSC "Choron" Isfara                 

                                          

In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan "On measures to create a disinfection system for the collection, storage, transportation and processing of mercury-containing lamps" dated March 3, 2011 No. 97, a disinfection point for used mercury lamps of small consumption was organized in the city of Isfara, Charog JSC.

In order to get acquainted with the activities of the workshop for disinfection of mercury energy-saving lamps of Charog JSC, the head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Sughd region visited the city of Isfara.

Since the beginning of the workshop, from 2022 to the present day, 275 thousand mercury lamps have been sterilized. Disinfection equipment was purchased by the Main Directorate on the basis of the order of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the decision of the Board of the Committee and donated to Charog JSC, as a result of which 6 people from among local residents were provided with work.

The Head of the Main Department of Gufronzoda A. G. instructed to neutralize at least 1000 lamps for each working day in compliance with safety requirements and prevention of environmental pollution.
