At the initiative of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and in cooperation with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Dushanbe in the framework of the implementation of the "State program for the development of environmental education and public awareness of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025" from August 19 to 23 of the current year for students, volunteers and activists of the "Environmental School-2023" in the Romit "Yos" Rest House in the city of Vahdat, a series of training sessions were held on the topics of environmental research, environmental protection, including climate change, air quality monitoring and the fight against plastic packaging .

Representatives of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Dushanbe took part and spoke at the opening of the environmental camp. It was noted that the Republic of Tajikistan is recognized as the initiator and leader in solving global problems related to water and ecology. In particular, the fifth proposal of our republic to declare 2025 the International Year for the Protection of Glaciers was adopted by the UN General Assembly with the support of most countries, and purposeful steps are being taken to implement it.

After that, five-day trainings began, the participants were given educational lessons by employees of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe and the Malaya Zemlya public organization with presentations, posters, visual aids, group games, film screenings and other interesting events were organized. Events.

After each session, questions and answers were held between trainers and participants, as well as a discussion of ways to solve environmental problems and their consequences.

In parallel, an exhibition was organized, which exhibited "green" energy equipment.

After the completion of the training sessions, certificates were awarded to each eco-volunteer, activists and students in a solemn atmosphere.

Carrying out such environmental events in order to encourage and attract eco-volunteers, youth and activists to promote environmental protection, their wide participation in environmental events helps to increase the level of environmental education of the population.
