Participation of the delegation of the Committee in the "Seventh Assembly and related meetings of the Global Environment Facility"             

                                          

From August 22 to 26, 2023 in Vancouver, Canada, will be held "Seventh Assembly and related meetings of the Global Environment Facility", in which delegation of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan will participate.

It should be noted that the Assembly of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) is the supreme governing body of the Facility and includes representatives of 185 member countries. In addition, the Assembly is responsible for reviewing and evaluating the overall policy, activities and membership of the Facility, reviewing and approving proposed amendments to the establishment of the renewed Global Environment Facility and any other recommendations arising from its Board.

The Assembly of the Global Environment Facility is held once every four years, which is attended by ministers of environment of the world and international organizations and presents information on environmental protection and ecology, implementation of initiatives and attraction of grant funds, as well as will discuss further plans for the implementation of grant projects supported by Facility.
