Contribution of the population of the included territories to environmental protection                   

                                          

Based on the decision of the Majlisi Milli of Majlisi Oli (Upper House of Parliament) of the Republic of Tajikistan "On changing the borders of the city of Dushanbe and the Rudaki district", the border of the city of Dushanbe was changed at the expense of the lands of the Rudaki district on an area of 7659.25 hectares, and its total area was set at 20318.25 hectares.

According to the environmental legislation on the implementation of the Rules of Public Order, Improvement and Sanitation in the city of Dushanbe, approved by the decision of the Council of People's Deputies of the city of Dushanbe, the head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in the city of Dushanbe studied the environmental situation of the new territories that entered the city and instructed officials of the relevant structures of the districts of Firdavsi, Shohmansur and Sino to take measures to improve the environmental situation of these areas.

According to available information, 33 temporary waste collection points have been built in the new territories that have entered the city, according to an agreement with district waste processing enterprises, waste from collection points will be taken to the city landfill.

According to the instruction of the head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in the city of Dushanbe in secondary schools № 33, 34, 37, 105, 106, 107, 109, 165 Shohmansur district on the implementation of the "Comprehensive State Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Enlightenment of the population of the city of Dushanbe", the decision of the Chairman of the City of Dushanbe "On approval of the Procedure for collection, disposal processing and neutralization of solid household waste in the border and administrative districts of the city of Dushanbe" and section 5 of the Rules of Public Order, improvement and sanitation in the city of Dushanbe, discussions and meetings were held.

Taking into account the importance of public health and the environment, the development of landscaping, construction, greening, attracting the attention of residents to the environmental actions "Clean Area" and "Clean Coast" and raising awareness and environmental education of the population, the head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Dushanbe decided to improve the ecological condition of the new territories of the city by holding actions and to increase the level of environmental literacy of citizens.
