International scientific and practical conference dedicated to the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought                 

                                          

Dedicated to the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought in Dushanbe on July 1-2 this year, an international scientific and practical conference was held on the topic "Problems of desertification, land degradation and drought. The role of women in the fight against land degradation and desertification." The Committee for Environmental Protection organized an international conference with the support of the secretariat of the Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD). Scientific presentations were made by scientists from Tajikistan, as well as representatives from Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia and Turkmenistan.

Active participation in the conference was taken by international and public organizations, which also demonstrated their work in the fight against desertification. The Secretariat of the Convention to Combat Desertification thanked the Committee for fruitful cooperation and good organization of the international conference.
