Workshop on "Tajikistan – originator of environmental initiatives"             

                                          

In order to promote the declared "International Year of Glacier Protection", the implementation of the goals of the International Decade of Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028" and in honor of World Environment Day, a training workshop was held at the State educational institution "Polytechnic College" at the initiative of the environmental protection sector in Zafarabad district.

The workshp was attended by representatives of the environmental protection sector, the Executive Committee of the Democratic People's Party of Tajikistan in the district, teachers and students. The workshop featured presentations on the adoption by the UNGA of Tajikistan's fifth initiative on adaptation and the impact of climate change, the need to protect glaciers and the environment.

At the end of the workshop, a representative of the environmental protection sector presented teachers and students with letters of thanks and gifts for their active participation in environmental protection activities.
