The fight against corruption is a priority area of state policy
A round table on the topic "Fighting corruption – a priority direction of the state anti-corruption policy" was held in the assembly hall of the Main Department of Environmental Protection of the city of Dushanbe.
Nazrien Vaslibek Kurban, Chief Inspector of the Corruption Risk Analysis and Prevention of Corruption Offenses Department of the State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Tajikistan noted that the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On Combating Corruption" entered into force in July 2005. In order to implement this law, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, programs for 2008-2012 and 2013-2020 have been adopted and are being implemented. By order of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, a regular program entitled "State anti-Corruption strategy for the period up to 2030" and an action plan for its implementation for the first stage (for 2021-2025) were approved.
It was noted that the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and its subordinate structures, based on the "State Anti-Corruption Strategy for the period up to 2030" and the Action Plan for its implementation for the first stage (for 2021-2025), have developed their plans and are carrying out certain work.
The fight against corruption is considered one of the priority goals of the anti-corruption policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the growth of corruption acts reduces the prestige and authority of the state. From this point of view, with the adoption of anti-corruption programs, the Committee and its substructures need to annually reduce the level of corruption by implementing the necessary measures, because the main goal of the policy pursued by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is to accelerate corruption elements.
A useful discussion of this topic took place at the round table.
