Round table at the State Educational Institution "Service Professional Lyceum" city of Khujand"

                                                                

In order to implement the work plan of the Committee on the “Strategy for the Development of the Green Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2037 (for the period 2023-2025)”, and in honor of the announcement of 2025 as the “International Year for the Protection of Glaciers”, a round table was held at the state educational institution "Service professional lyceum of Khujand"

It was attended by employees of the department of environmental protection of the city of Khujand, teachers and students of the lyceum. During the event, the staff of the department noted that in order to develop the "green economy", adapt to climate change, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, efficiently use natural resources and attract capital and energy efficient technologies, the "Strategy for the Development of the Green Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2023-2037 » has been adopted and will be implemented in the next 15 years. The importance of the resolution of the UN General Assembly on declaring 2025 the International Year for the Protection of Glaciers, on climate change mitigation, as well as the contribution of schoolchildren to improving environmental literacy, was also noted.
