Meeting of the State Interdepartmental Commission on Environmental Education of the Population of Sughd Region                                               

On December 27, 2022, the second meeting of the interdepartmental commission on environmental education of the population with the participation of the deputy head of the region Zarif Mirdado, members of the regional executive committee, deputy heads of cities and districts - heads of local executive committees, heads of departments and heads of nature protection sectors and secretaries of the commission was held.

At the meeting, the activities of the Interdepartmental State Commission in 2022 and from the date of adoption of the "Comprehensive State Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Education of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025" were discussed. With the keynote address, the head of the regional environmental protection department, A.K. Hakimzoda. the deputy chairman of the regional executive committee, gave information about the work done and revealed the existing shortcomings and problems.

During the review of the implementation of the state program, the deputy heads of the departments of education, culture and work with women and families of the region, the representative of the head of emergency situations and civil defense of the region, the deputy head of Sh. Ainy district spoke, and during the work, the head of the Public Organization "Youth Group on Environmental Protection"/Aarhus Center in Khujand city presented his proposal.

At the end of the meeting, goals and tasks were defined by the chairman of the State Interdepartmental Commission for Environmental Education of the Regional Population in order to expand the activity of the regional commission, as well as the activity of such commissions in cities and districts.
