Control measures for the protection of fish resources in the reservoir of the Tajik Sea

                        

As a result of operational control operations in the Tajik reservoir, 2 citizens were arrested for illegal fishing by inspectors of the Main Directorate for Environmental Protection of the Sughd region.

Rustam Tursunov, a resident of Khujand, and Mirzoilkhom Sharipov, a resident of B. Gafurov district, were detained in the Shurkul zone of the reservoir with a 20-meter net and a rubber boat, their fishing tools were confiscated. Protocols were drawn up against these two people in accordance with Article 208 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In the Kukurok zone of the Tajik Sea, during control raids, 150 meters of abandoned nets were discovered and destroyed.

It is worth noting that in the nets of detainees and in ownerless nets, 5 perch and 14 silverfish were found, in total 19 illegally caught fish.

In the field of the use and protection of fish resources, inspectors of the Main Directorate regularly exercise state control along with explanatory work among amateur fishermen.
