Environmental campaigns dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan                         

Taking advantage of the favorable weather, on the eve of the arrival of the guests-participants of the solemn meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Sughd region, in the cities and districts of Khujand, Guliston, Istiqlol, Istaravshan, Isfara, Spitamen and J. Rasulov environmental campaigns "Clean Area", "Clean Coast" and "Clean Roads" were held. This campaign was carried out in order to clean up the Dushanbe-Khujand-Chanak highway, protocol streets and urban areas, as well as the banks of the Sirdarya River from garbage.

The event was actively attended by more than 2000 people, representatives of educational institutions, organizations and retail outlets, residents of urban and rural areas.

As a result, 5 km of irrigation ditches along the road, 3 km of the shores of reservoirs and more than 3 thousand square meters of the territories of settlements were cleared of various wastes, and whitewashing works along pedestrian paths were completed. 16.9 cubic meters of collected waste were taken to the official landfill.

At the same time, in the city of Isfara, with the use of special equipment, unattended garbage was taken out around the city dump.
