Waste disposal in informal places is one of the urgent environmental problems, and to prevent and regulate the disposal of household waste, employees of environmental protection bodies in the field are constantly taking appropriate measures.

For this purpose, inspectors of the Department of State Control over the Use and Protection of Water Resources of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Sughd region conducted control operations in rural jamoats of B. Gafurov district. In the rural jamoat of Yova, in the Khoja – Bakirgan zone, waste disposal in unidentified places was revealed. A resident of the rural jamoat of Yova district B.Gafurov Begmatov Erkin, with the help of his personal truck, took out and unloaded consumer waste close to the ravine. In the course of this illegal act, the inspectors of the Main Directorate detained a citizen and drew up a protocol against him with the imposition of a fine under Article 232 of the Code of the Republic of Tajikistan on Administrative Offenses. At the same time, in order to eliminate waste generation at the site, the waste was reloaded onto a citizen's transport and transported to an official landfill.

During the control operations, the inspectors of the Main Department revealed another case of unauthorized waste disposal in the rural jamoat of Unji B. Gafurov district. In connection with this violation of the law, protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up against 2 landowners whose lands were contaminated with waste.

Currently, according to this order, which is mandatory for execution by the environmental protection authorities, the collected orphan waste is taken to an official landfill.
