Meeting for the preparation of the fourth review on environmental performance                     

On November 22, 2022, a meeting of representatives of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe was held following the results of the Third Review on environmental activities and the preparation of the Fourth Review.

Antonio Nunesh, representative of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, noted that Tajikistan is the first country on the Asian continent to start preparing the fourth Environmental Performance Report.

Shukurov Isfandier, Head of the Department for Monitoring, Environmental Policy, Hydrometeorology and Cadastre, said that the Republic of Tajikistan, for an accurate result, prepared a roadmap for implementing the recommendations of the third review and submitted it to the UN Economic Commission for Europe, which was considered at the ninth conference of ministers of the environment for Europe (Nicosia, Cyprus, 2022).

Also during the meeting, the head of the department of international relations and work with environmental conventions, Dustzoda Dilovarsho, and the director of the Tajik branch of the Central Asian Environmental Center, Muminzoda Zebo, spoke on the preparation of the Environmental Review.
