Participation of the Vice-Chairman of the Committee in the 19th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)                     

From November 14 to 25 of this year, the 19th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) was held in Panama City of the Republic of Panama, in which the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan took part Mavlodod Abdulkadir.

At this event, issues were discussed between countries related to the implementation of this Convention on the Protection of Wild Animals and Wild Plants and their International Trade, as well as issues related to the implementation of environmental policy coordination at the regional and international levels.

The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan at this Conference announced the position of the country on a number of issues on the international and regional agenda in the field of international trade in species of wild fauna and flora, a number of bilateral meetings were also held with representatives of the International Council for Hunting and Wildlife Conservation, the Secretariat of the CITES Convention, delegations European Union, United States of America and others.

The participation of representatives of the Republic of Tajikistan made it possible to strengthen cooperation with the Secretariat of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora, such events allow expanding international cooperation in attracting foreign investment and implementing new projects.
