The state of waste disposal in the Shohmansur district                                                                                

In order to implement the decision of the Chairman of the City of Dushanbe "On approving the procedure for collecting, exporting, processing and neutralization of solid household waste within the territorial and administrative limits of the city of Dushanbe" and taking into account the implementation of current legislation in the field of environmental protection, the head of the Main Environmental Protection Department in Dushanbe, L. Rahmonov, familiarized himself with the state of waste disposal and the activities of the State Unitary Enterprise waste removal of the Shohmansur district of the city of Dushanbe.

It turned out that the State Unitary Enterprise "Special Transport of solid waste transportation" of the Shohmansur district operates on the basis of the charter and is responsible for the timely removal of garbage from the garbage collection points of the Shohmansur district. According to available information, there are 360 special waste collection points in the district, 75 of them are located in micro-districts, 94 in mahals, 156 in organizations and enterprises, 35 in mines, that is, in multi-storey buildings.

From 180 to 200 tons of waste is sent from this area to the city landfill every day.

During a visit to the technopark of a waste recycling plant, waste collection points, high-rise mines, the head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Dushanbe instructed officials to put waste collection points in order as soon as possible, paint and number garbage cans, hang signs at each point.

In addition, it was stressed the need to take measures for the timely removal of garbage from garbage collection points, clean up around garbage dumps, provide landscaping and landscaping of cities and neighborhoods, conduct explanatory work in order to increase the level of environmental awareness of the population.
