Results of the activities of the Main Department for Environmental Protection in the city of Dushanbe for 9 months of 2022                                                                                                                

In the conference hall of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in the city of Dushanbe, a final meeting was held to discuss the activities for 9 months of 2022.

The Head of the Main Department of Environmental Protection of the city of Dushanbe analyzed the activities of the department. It was noted that the relevant decisions of the Executive Bodies of the state Power of the city of Dushanbe take concrete measures to protect the environment, ensure environmental safety, increase environmental literacy of the population.

It was reported that the inspectors of the Main Department have drawn up administrative protocols against 1,301 individuals and officials who violated the law. Together with inspectors of the Department of Ecology and Tourism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe, protocols were drawn up against 226 persons and administrative cases were initiated.

As part of the implementation of the decision of the Mayor of the city of Dushanbe "On the procedure for collecting, exporting, processing and neutralization of solid household waste in the border and administrative districts of the city of Dushanbe", in order to increase the level of ecological culture of the population, compliance with the rules, waste management in the microdistricts of the city, 62 conversations and meetings were held on preventing environmental contamination, according to the established schedule to place garbage in temporary collection points after 17 o'clock, about the participation of the population in environmental protection, holding an action to clean up the territory around high-rise buildings, ensuring the cleanliness of the living area and other related issues.

During this period, in pursuance of the order of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the "Clean Coast" campaign was held 37 times in the city of Dushanbe.

The Head of the Main Department, along with the work performed, noted the good work of the heads of environmental protection departments in the districts of I. Somoni, Sino, Firdavsi and Shohmansur for the timely removal of waste from waste collection points under state control, repair and renovation of garbage sites, painting walls, fencing garbage dumps, installation of advertising signs, conducting interviews and meetings with citizens in order to raise awareness and environmental education of the population.
