Round table on the report on the assessment of the state of the atmosphere and its impact on climate change                                                                                                    

On September 23 of this year, at the initiative of the Environmental Protection Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and with the support of the OSCE Program Office, a round table was held in Dushanbe with the participation of representatives of relevant government structures, where reports on the assessment of the state of the atmosphere and its impact on climate change in Tajikistan were held were discussed within the framework of sustainable development goals.

The event began with the introductory speech of the first deputy chairman of the Environmental Protection Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kiyomzoda Zarafo Sufijon, and the head of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe, Mrs. Teya Jaliashvili. During the speech, the first deputy chairman of the Committee mentioned that in modern conditions, the issue of atmospheric air is considered very important and critical, and expressed hope that relevant decisions will be made by the responsible authorities within the framework of the round table.

International consultant N. Baramidze gave a presentation on the assessment of atmospheric weather conditions and their impact on climate change in Tajikistan in the framework of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Employees of the Meteorological Agency, representatives of the ministries of agriculture, health and social protection of the population, energy and water resources and transport of the Republic of Tajikistan discussed the research of N. Baramidze and expressed their opinions on its essence.

At the end of the meeting, representatives of public organizations "Peshsaf", Aarhus Republican Environmental Center in Dushanbe and Bokhtar also presented their activities in the direction of regulation and improvement of atmospheric air.

It should be said that, taking into account the opinions of the participants, the international expert prepares a manual that will be used by all interested parties on the topic of the event.
