"SLOW FOOD International Fair" in the city of Turin of the Italian Republic                                                                                                

On September 21-27, 2022, the “International Fair of Healthy Food SLOW FOOD” was held in Turin, Italy. At the invitation of the responsible persons of this fair, a representative of the Tajik side, an employee of specially protected natural territories Rajabov Kutbidin took part in this event and made a speech.

The main purpose of the "SLOW FOOD International Fair" is, first of all, to promote environmentally friendly healthy food and, on this basis, to strengthen the friendship of peoples in terms of supporting eco-tourism. Representatives of about 100 countries of the world took part in the fair and put their exhibits on public display.

With the support of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, more than 200 advertising sheets were published at the exhibition to promote tourism and sustainable issues of the use of natural resources.

On the part of the NGO "Center for the Support of Specially Protected Natural Territories of Tajikistan", tourist facilities, national parks and recreational facilities of the Republic of Tajikistan were encouraged at this fair.

This step attracts tourists to the Republic of Tajikistan on the example of the Karatag gorge of the Republic for the conservation and sustainable use of the Shahmohi species - a rare Amudarya trout, which was listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2015 and is intended to restore the fish resources of this gorge.
