The Main Department of Environmental Protection in Sughd region is taking practical measures to implement the "State Comprehensive Program for the development of environmental education and enlightenment of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025".

In accordance with the requirements of the action plan for the implementation of the Program, in cooperation with the NGO "Youth Group for Environmental Protection", the Aarhus Center in the city of Khujand and the Center for Additional Education in the Sughd region for students and teachers of ecology in educational institutions of the cities of Khujand, Guliston, Buston and the district of B. Gafurov organized and conducted by the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Sughd region mobile information tour in the tourist resort complex "Temurmalik Island".

This event was dedicated to further defining the cooperation plan and stimulating the implementation of the Program in the field of education, during which the participants got acquainted with the territory of the island, breeding wild turkeys, ducks and fish, information about the Red Book of Tajikistan and ecological tourism.

Also, according to the program of the event, eco-activists of the educational institution No. 15 of B. Gafurov district and the Kavsar gymnasium of Khujand city made presentations to the participants on the topic "Environmental danger". As part of this event, representatives of the NGO "Youth Group for Environmental Protection" conducted classes with participants on various environmental topics.
