Raising environmental awareness and informing the population about climate change                                         

The training center of the National Bank in Guliston city within the framework of the regional project "Climate Change and Sustainable Development in Central Asia" with the participation of representatives of the executive body of the regional project "Climate Change and Sustainable Development in Central Asia", with the support of the United Nations Development Program and the European Union, a roundtable was held with representatives of the regional government, international and non-governmental organizations, government agencies and departments dealing with climate change.

During the event, the Chief Specialist of the Main Department of Environmental Protection in Sughd province made a presentation on "The role of the state program to raise environmental awareness and inform the population about climate change", in which the participants were introduced to the "Integrated State Program of Environmental Education and Training of the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025".

The main purpose of the information meeting is to coordinate activities and develop cooperation between government agencies and structures, as well as development partners, taking into account the proposal of the participants developed an "Action Plan" to improve environmental knowledge, develop regional cooperation and strengthen measures to prevent risks associated with climate change.
