Meeting of the Committee Chairman with the World Bank delegation

On November 24, Chairman of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan met with a delegation of the World Bank specialists to discuss the new grant project "Ensuring Sustainable Landscapes and Economic Activities in the Republic of Tajikistan".

During the meeting, the planned activities and further steps within the framework of the project were discussed.

According to the new project, a number of activities are planned, in particular, measures to improve living standards in target areas of various regions of the country through the implementation of various measures to combat climate change, as well as planting new forests and landscaping of protected areas and national parks.

It is expected that after the approval of the project by the Board of Governors of the World Bank, its implementation will begin in the second half of 2022.
