Implementation of the Comprehensive Program for the Development of Education and Environmental Awareness of the Population in the Focus of a Seminar in Rasht

On October 19-20 in Rasht on the initiative of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and with the financial support of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe a seminar with participation of experts of the Committee on Environmental Protection, higher educational institutions, representatives of OSCE Program Office and Aarhus Center was held. The title of the seminar was "Information on the ways of implementation of the Comprehensive State Program of Development and Environmental Education of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025". "

After opening the seminar, the experts spoke on the following topics: "The essence of Comprehensive State Programme on Development of Environmental Education of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025", "Goals and objectives", "Experience of developed countries in environmental education".

Having heard the reports, the participants exchanged their opinions on implementation of the programme. For a better understanding of the topic, a group game was organized among the participants. On the second day of the workshop, representatives from the Education Department, Aarhus Centre, teachers from universities and secondary general education schools in the Rasht district shared their views on various aspects of the Programme.

According to the participants, the points of the Program will be implemented only in case of close cooperation of state organizations and departments, public organizations, mass media and civil society as a whole.
